Put The Kitchen Remodel Checklist To Use

If you are ready to tackle your renovation, start by printing out the PDF version of this checklist and begin making notes.

If you have decided to work with a designer they may already have a checklist, but this one can help you prepare for your meetings with them. Having your priorities in order before a meeting can potentially save you time and money!

If you have decided not to work with a designer you should walk through this list before you make any purchases for your kitchen.

What If You Don’t Know Where To Start?

The first thing to do is to start gathering inspiration. This will help you find design styles that you do and don’t like. Pinterest or your favorite home decor magazine are great places to look.

Once you have a decent amount of images piled up that you like, begin to look for what they have in common. For example, do they all have the same color countertop or cabinets? Are the metal finishes similar? Are they all neutrals?

Once you start to see the patterns within the images you collected you can go back to your checklist with an understanding of what you like. Then prioritize them on the checklist. Writing down what you want will help crystallize the plan in your mind.
